Kronos is a truly compact heating fireplace
capable of burning all types of fuel.
This wood, pellet, and multi-fuel heating
fireplace is "extremely compact" while
offering extraordinary performance. It is
designed to adapt easily to the needs of
modern families who have limited time and
wish to avoid exorbitant management costs.
The Kronos delivers the efficiency levels of a
pellet stove even when burning wood. Unlike
a standard heating fireplace, it is equipped
with a smoke extractor, allowing it to
modulate the wood combustion rate by
varying the extractor's speed.

FULLY MULTI-FUEL
CAPABILITY
The innovative bottom-fed burner allows
for the complete combustion of all types of
multi-fuel biomass—including wood, pellets,
hazelnut shells, almond shells, corn pellets,
and washed olive pomace—within the same
combustion chamber. This eliminates the
inconvenient need to insert or remove
plates, baskets, or other components when
switching fuels.
INNOVATIVE BOTTOM-FEED
LOADING
The high-capacity fuel tank is connected to
the circular cast-iron burner via a dual-
stage auger with a star valve. This
advanced bottom-loading technology
provides several key advantages:
Self-Cleaning Burner: The continuous
upward push of fuel naturally removes
residues, eliminating the need for manual
burner cleaning.
Optimal Combustion: Delivers a bright,
clean white flame by maintaining the
perfect oxygen-to-fuel ratio at all times.
Reduced Fuel Consumption: When the
boiler enters standby mode, it doesn't
require extra fuel for restarts; instead, it
utilizes the "ember effect" to reignite
instantly.
Universal Biomass Compatibility: Allows
the use of pellets and biomass of any type
or quality.
Removable Burner Ring: For more
challenging fuels, the burner features a
removable ring. Once removed, it provides
a larger surface area and additional
combustion holes to handle high-ash or
difficult-to-burn materials.
SIMPLICITY OF
PROGRAMMING AND USE
The electronic control unit with a touch-
screen display offers simplified
functionality wrapped in a modern design.
Management is flexible and intuitive,
catering to different user preferences:
On-Board Control: Programming can
be done directly on the machine for
convenient manual or automatic
management.
Remote Management: The system can
be controlled via a remote thermostat
from any room in the house.
Smart Connectivity: Upon request, the
unit can be managed via GSM/GPRS
Modem, Wi-Fi module, or a dedicated
App for smartphone control.
DOMESTIC HOT WATER (DHW)
PRODUCTION
Domestic hot water is produced through a
high-performance internal heat exchanger
featuring 5 copper coils (Ø 10 mm).
Safety Integration: This
exchanger is connected to a
thermal discharge valve,
allowing it to serve a dual
purpose: providing
consistent hot water while
acting as an additional
safety system to dissipate
excess heat when necessary.
SELF-CLEANING
EXCHANGER AND
HIGH SAFETY
The Kronos represents the
perfect hybrid combination
of the heating fireplace
exchanger and the heating
stove exchanger, both of
which are Famar patents.
The system utilizes a
sophisticated heat exchange
process to maximize
efficiency and minimize
maintenance:
Vortex Smoke Path: Flue
gases are channeled into
honeycomb ducts
specifically dimensioned
to create a swirling, vortex
motion. This forced
convection ensures the
gases transfer maximum
heat to the water
circulating in the jacket.
Patented "Dry Chamber"
Structure: The exchanger
is designed to reach
incandescent
temperatures during
operation. This heat
exceeds the lysis
temperature of unburned
smoke particles,
effectively burning them
off.
Benefit 1: The
exchanger remains self-
cleaning, as combustion
deposits are turned into
energy and easily
removable ash.
Benefit 2: Boiler
efficiency remains
constant over time since
soot buildup is
prevented.
Superior Performance:
The honeycomb ducts are
engineered to be longer
than standard Famar
heating fireplaces. This
design achieves efficiency
levels comparable to, or
even exceeding, high-end
heating stoves—whether
burning wood or pellets.
